Getting healthy wholesome food into toddlers can be a challenge. I have found that if I hide veggies into some of his favorite foods, he’s more likely to eat them; but sometimes even then he will pick them out!

A smoothie has been a perfect way to get his veggies in and hide them with other wholesome ingredients like fruit and flax! If your toddler isn’t quite using a straw you can also make this recipe a bit thicker and put it in a bowl or on a divider plate, it’s would be a great way to practice those fine motor skills while eating something nutritious!
Recipe
2 Ripe Bananas (you can also. use frozen)
1-2 cups of spinach or kale (depending on your preference)
2 cups of frozen fruit (we like to use the berry blend but any frozen fruit will work!
6 TBS of Flaxseed
2 cups of your preferred milk (we use almond, but any type would do!)
Blend until it is a smoothie consistency (you can reduce the amount of liquid for a thicker smoothie)
What I love about smoothies is they are able to be altered to your preference! You can also add yogurt, nut butters, or protein powders depending on yours and your family’s needs!
