Fall is my absolute favorite season. Upstate NY experiences all four seasons and it has some gorgeous destinations to visit in fall and it is one of the reasons I love living here. Today I’m going to share with you three of my favorite fall spots to check out if you are traveling here or if you’re just looking for something to do with the family!
The Apple Farm, Victor NY
The Apple Farm in Victor, NY is a hidden gem. It is tucked away and perfect for Apple picking. They also have delicious hot cider and apple cider donuts.
The Apple Farm offers U-Pick apples August-October and makes their own apple cider and cider donuts fresh on site! They also offer a variety of locally made products in their store. One of my favorite parts of visiting the Apple Farm was being greeted by their friendly furry residents! There are farm cats that hang out throughout the orchards and in store and they do not shy away from a cuddle!
Heritage Hill Brewery
Heritage Hill Brewhouse is a great place for adults and kids! They are located in Pompey, NY and offer a variety of craft beers brewed there as well as a food trucks on Mondays and Tuesdays, farm animals, a playground, and so much more!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch here on my birthday and Maddox had so much fun on the playground! This is where he discovered his love for going on the swings! He also really enjoyed their mac and cheese and seeing the farm animals. The views here are stunning and it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a date, girls trip, or a family day! They also have live music and events throughout the season.
Beak and Skiff
I feel like I would not be able to talk about fall in Upstate NY without mentioning Beak and Skiff. Located in Lafayette, NY they’re famous for their 1911 hard cider and distillery. They also have amazing apple picking and a delicious cafe and bakery.
We always enjoy making a few trips to Beak and Skiff throughout the fall. We love going on the tractor ride to pick apples, enjoying their cider donut hard cider, and eating at the cafe. Also, they’re baked goods are absolutely to die for! They have an apple barn, general store, kids treehouse, and distillery to visit. You could easily spend an entire day at Beak and Skiff! There is also a summer concert series to gear you up for fall.
